Rory Gallagher again...
Regular readers will know that I am a big fan of the late, great Rory Gallagher, Ireland's finest-ever guitarist. Feeling a little sad tonight, I turned to this great performance of a melancholy song for the mood I was in and now I think it needs to be shared. I hope you enjoy it too.

What a legend! Sorry you're feeling a bit down in the dumps, but thanks so much for posting this. Maybe follow it up with Cradle Rock to pick those spirits up? Never fails to get my foot tapping.
ReplyDeleteHi jono - thanks for that. Yes, Cradle Rock is a cheery tune! Myself, I'd pick Souped-up Ford, the track through which my Uncle David introduced me to Rory many years ago (maybe I'll post that up later!). I don't usually let much domestic life slip through the blog curtain onto the stage but much-loved neighbours moved out yesterday and I felt I needed to acknowledge musically how I was feeling! Cheers, SNB
ReplyDeleteHey Scotty, you have wonderful taste in music. I am sorry you are feeling a little blue and I hope Rory cheered your spirits. Where would we be without music!! Happy Tuesday to you, keep smiling, Spring is just around the corner!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for your kind words Dancin'. Nothing like a bit of Rory to cheer me up! The sun is shining today and, although it is still very cold here, it does indeed feel like Spring is around the proverbial corner. The nights are fair drawing out now as they say up here!
ReplyDeleteWe have lots in common, not just the love of the Scottish outdoors. I'm also a big Gallagher fan!
ReplyDeleteDrinking tea at 4am full of a stinking cold this cheered me up...thanks big bro!
ReplyDeleteSwifty - you are clearly a man of consummate good taste!
ReplyDeleteCoastkid - hope you're feeling a bit better bro - I hate colds!
